Getting
Started
Once you have learned all the benefits and services that pet sitters
and dog walkers have to offer you, you may decide that it would
be the right service for you and your family.
If you have decided upon our services, I will come to your home
for a consultation visit.
- This gives you a chance to meet me and for
me to meet you and your pets.
- I can learn about the individual needs of each
of your four-legged friends.
- We can determine what types of services would
best suit you and your pets.
- I will also familiarize myself with your home
so I will know where to find the items needed for the visits such
as food, leashes or litter boxes even cleaning supplies.
- We will also fill out paperwork such as the
Vet Release, Sitting Contracts, and Policies and Procedures.
- We can discuss my Key Holding Program:
This program is to give you an added convenience and make your
life easier. In order to provide and accommodate last-minute needs,
as well as to avoid key pick-up and return charges, I recommend
that you allow me to store your keys at no extra charge. Keys
are stored in a safe place on my premises, with coded labels to
ensure your security and anonymity. In other words, your name
and address is not physically attached to the keys. Only I will
have access to the keys.
- Please be reminded that Whiskers to Tails
is fully Insured and Bonded.
Whiskers to Tails is Fully Bonded and
Insured through The Verge Insurance Group.
This Canadian Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers Insurance Plan provides
you with an added assurance. As you know, accidents do happen
- no matter how rare the occurrence. Our pet insurance covers
handler negligence while pets are in our care, custody, or control.
In addition, we have coverage in the event of accidental breakage
or damage, disappearance, and theft of your property as your home
is covered under The Commercial General Liability part of the
plan. The bottom line is, that you can have peace of mind that
we are fully bonded and insured, which essentially safeguards
the security of your home and the safety of your pets.
- Consultation visits usually
take place the week before service is to begin and last about
30 minutes (and are of course free of charge).
- Please keep in mind that all of our services
are on a first come, first served basis. Plan ahead and book early
to ensure we have time for you, especially at busy times of the
year!
